ColdFusion can instant message your users
During lunch, I took my semi-annual stroll through the forums on Macromedia’s Web site and came across an article on setting up ColdFusion MX 7 to enable CF-powered instant messaging. Not only that, but how to set up bots that can answer IMs on the big instant messaging services–AOL, MSN, and Yahoo!.
The steps to setting up the event gateways weren’t as horrible as I thought they would be. I’ll definitely need to consider what kinds of e-services I could develop in the future using this knowledge.
