I am online
Since the beginning of the year, I have not had an Internet connection at home. This has led to both good and bad outcomes.
The good? When I get home, I can leave all of my technology stuff at work and worry about being a person, not a developer. I can have a social life!
The bad? When I have done development work on the side in 2005, I have had to go to a friend’s or to Cup O Joe to use their wireless Internet connections. This has killed my motivation for my quest to become a better developer and to make some money to kill the student debt. Also, as my friends and I get older, we often use email to keep up with each other. Well, it’s hard to keep up with everyone when I only have limited time to check personal email at work and stay out of trouble.
I’m hoping that I can remember that having a connection at home can be a good thing if I can keep it in moderation. Either way, this blog should become a whole lot more active from this point on.
